One of the reasons that I bought a Nintendo 3DS. I've always been a fan of the Final Fantasy series and one of the stand out features across the series is the videos (which can now be seen in eyecatching 3D) and the musical scores.
The controls for the game are excellent putting the stylus and the touch screen to good use, the other buttons on the console are slightly redundant except when navigating the menus.
The game has been released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, so unless you have dabbled with the games over the years you might not be as wowed by the game as someone who has.
Nevertheless once you get into the game it is hard to put down, you'll be glued to the screen trying to get perfect critical chains on your favourite tunes from the series.
The game also supports street pass, allowing you to swap gameplay statistics and “dark notes” another addictive part of the game – there are 99 in total!
