Description

Excerpt from The Year of Trafalgar: Being an Account of the Battle and of the Events Which Led Up to It, With a Collection of the Poems and Ballads Written Thereupon Between 1805 and 1905 The Naval Campaign of 1805 has never yet been made the subject of a separate study in book form. This fact, however noticeable, does not, of course, prove the need for any fresh work of the kind. There are many Lives of Nelson and other historical books in which the Battle of Trafalgar and the events that led up to it fill a certain space and form an important element. If a new history is required, it will probably be supplied several times over during the present year by professional or well-qualified writers. The excuse for the appearance of the present little volume is that it aims at giving to the public something which is not very likely to be offered by anyone else, because it is the direct outcome of a personal point of view. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work.
