Description

A magical, beautifully illustrated picture book about what it means to be a friend. The Little Witchling lives alone in her mountain top and more than anything else, she wishes for a friend. So, when her spell-book tells her that the secret ingredient is the fur from a little girl's favourite teddy, she knows what she must do. But the teddy belongs to Lily, who can't bear to part with him. Will the Little Witchling give up her dream of a real friend? Or just maybe, is there a way for her and Lily to make the wish come true, together? With a heartwarming rhyming text and breathtaking illustrations from Sarah Massini, this magical friendship story is perfect for little witches everywhere!

Author Biography:

Lu Fraser worked for many years in children's brand licensing before heading off to the country to start scribbling children's books in her wonky hut at the end of the garden. She is an incredibly exciting new picture book talent and this is her second book with Bloomsbury, following The Viking Who Liked Icing. Lu lives in Hampshire with her husband and young daughter. Sarah Massini studied Graphic Design in Manchester and followed careers in corporate design and children's book design before settling down to pursue her life-long dream of illustrating books. Sarah's first picture book for Bloomsbury was Kiss It Better by Smriti Prasadam-Halls. She lives in Sussex with her husband, Peter, and her dog, Coco.
