I cannot assign that amiable weakness to any particular period, for it covers all but I have had more control over this propensity than over others, for stamp collecting requires expert knowledge, much time and much money, and while I am always interested in a good collection of stamps, I have not had the disposition to go deeply into the matter for myself.
