With quick rules and a game system promoting I move my model, you move your
model, All Out War has proven to be wildly popular for Mantic Games. What makes
this game different from Zombicide or Dead Of Winter- This is a wargame, and
players have been given a fantastic canvas to create their own narratives and
apply tactical skill to outwitopponents. How would Sophia and her unstable mum,
Carol, cope with being separated at the Atlanta camp and marauded not only by
the dead but the desperately living, too- What if Shane had rallied the others
at the Atlanta camp against Rick-
There are point systems for your characters, equipment, supply cards for
searches, threat levels and events increasing the odds of being overwhelmed by
walkers. There are tests of nerve, the joys of headshots and the woes of being
headshot or bitten. Noise can be used tactically to draw certain walkers closer
for crowd control. You can sneak and hide to avoid detection. Guns, while
effective, can create mayhem and bring a crowd of the dead your way. Cover can
improve your odds of minimising damage. The game can be played solo or with
multiple players. The All Out War world is set to keep on expanding, in the same
fashion as X-Wing has. Get in to it! One point is lost in perfection due to
miniature quality. Patrick's baseball bat was bent and the guns on Derek and
Rick have barrels that I feel are slightly too small.
