In 1954, a disastrous event occurs when an airliner crashes in the Peak District, leaving just 3 survivors. Was it just a tragic accident, or was there a sinister, underlying reason why the plane suddenly disappeared from the radar screen without any warning? Almost 40 years later, Gerald Delany, a little known private detective, receives a letter from one of the survivors, which turns his life upside-down. As he searches for the answers to the questions posed by his client concerning the aftermath of the tragedy, he discovers that there are just too many coincidences concerning the survivors, which require an explanation. He teams up with, Chris Thompson, the son of the air traffic controller, who was on duty the day the airliner fell out of the sky. Together they embark on a quest to discover the reason behind the crash. They encounter the nefarious Carl Franzica, the leader of the Satanists, who will stop at nothing to escape justice. Delany realises that his life and that of Amanda, his faithful secretary, are in danger. Who will survive? Was the crash just an unfortunate accident or the work of someone, or something, more evil?
