Description

This veterinary handbook for horseowners presents each condition under headings which include the cause, treatment, potential complications, prevention and prognosis. Basic procedures such as cleaning a wound, poulticing, giving an intramuscular injection, feeding a sick horse and disinfecting stable and clothing are laid out in a step-by-step format. Advice is given on such matters as choosing horse insurance and having a horse vetted, and topics such as drugs and the competition horse are discussed.
