Not merely does the word Of connection or inference in the first verse, therefore, - warrant the general con elusion, that it is upon the views given in the previous chapters of the Divine Sovereignty, first in the grace Of justification, and then in the grace Of election, that the precepts of the present chapter all hang - but when these precepts come to be examined in detail, they are found, one and all Of them, to embody the principle, that man's right conduct, in all the relations in which he is placed, consists essentially in his knowing, and believing.
