"A Great Accompanying Book"
5 stars"

The Tales of Beedle The Bard contains 5 unique magical fairy tales ( one of which is a main plot point in the latest Harry Potter book ) that will appeal to the fans and casual readers of the series. If you liked Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them or Quidditch: Through the Ages then you will love this book! Also it is a nice little price and value for money!

Really pretty little hard cover book. Look like a real fairytale storybook but for wizards! And the stories are so well written by J.K Rowling herself. There are also many pieces of art drawn by her to accompany the stories and they are beautiful. I love this

Wonderfully published and a great read for any Harry Potter fan. Stories include: The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlocks Hairy Heart, Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump and the Classic, The Tale of the Three Brothers. The Shipping took awhile, as it will at Christmas time and WELL worth the wait.

This book is excellent for children, for it teaches them lessons about life, it's simple, but magical a the same time, and it was written by one of the greatest authors of all time to top it off.

Makes for interesting bedtime stories for my four year old, who is curious about the Harry Potter universe. A while yet until we start on those books, but this was a perfect introduction.

The Tales of Beedle The Bard is a great add to any Potter-fanatic's collection. JK Rowling's endless imagination in this book as well as the other supporting titles, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and Quidditch: Through the Ages (also highly recommended), has taken me back to the wizarding world that I loved so much. Definitely a great read for all us Muggles!

I was so happy when this was released, it makes a great companion read to the final book.

The tales are sweet, interesting, with great morals.

The tales of beedle the bard, I loved, as the story I wanted from deathly hallows part one was in there and the additional stories exceeded expectations. I think this was a excellent buy.

"A great extra"
5 stars"

Though this book may not be as in depth or as extravagant as the other Harry Potter books, it is a great addition to a beautiful world that J.K. Rowling has carved out. It is a collection of short stories that are told to wizards and witches when they are small like how fairytales are told to small children. They are short but nicely written and give you another layer of depth into the Harry Potter lore.

"Great Harry Potter Extra"
5 stars"

Most people first heard of Beedle The Bard through Ms. Rowling's other books, specifically the penultimate Harry Potter book, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows in which one story in particular played a crucial role in deciding the outcome of the series – if you've read the Potter book you'll all ready know which it is, and if you haven't… well, what on earth are you waiting for. The Tales Of Beedle The Bard is set firmly in the same world that Harry Potter occupies. For as Rowling points out in her introduction, two characters from the series played a key role in its production. The text is a new translation by Hermione Granger, from the original runes, and the late Albus Dumbledore wrote the extensive annotations that accompany each story.

You'll notice some obvious differences and similarities between Beedle's tales and the ones told by the non-magical community. The most obvious of the former is of course the fact that magic is taken for granted in the stories, and not something supernatural that the hero or heroine must overcome. Unlike our stories the female characters don't just wait around for someone to come and rescue them as they are every bit as capable as the male characters at getting in and out of scrapes. However, much like many of our stories each of Beedle's tales contains a life lesson for the young witch or wizard reading the tale that stress the importance of personal attributes like tolerance, forbearance, love, and generosity.
