Gary Petras was born and raised in the wild, untamed wilderness of the eastern-half of Pennsylvania. He credits the reading and collecting of comic books as helping him to survive the first half of this existence. He heartily accepts that writing and creating his very own works of wonder have helped him along the way on this, the second plateau. He has written and created several novels, screenplays and comic books. He is also a singer/songwriter. He is an avid and persistent walker. The hikes in the wilderness, and along the many trails throughout many different states and national parks, have always sparked within him the many and varied stories and characters that populate his mind and his storytelling. The heart and soul of all are within the pages he has put to words (and sometimes music). His family and friends often appear, in many a different guise, within the confines of the tales and myths and songs. Some know who they are, others will just have to take an educated guess. He often appears in the writings as well, but never as himself. His books range from works for children to tales for all ages. Fantasy, horror, drama and true life adventures are the genres he tries to capture and explore. Super-Heroes and modern myths take shape within his mind and spirit. Fiction disguised as truth. And the other way 'round as well. He writes to live and breathe and eat and earn and enjoy. He hopes you will do the same by buying and reading one of his works.
