Description

Collected in its entirety for the first time, THE SHERIFF OF BABYLON sees BATMAN's Tom King drawing heavily upon his experience in the CIA in this extraordinary graphic novel set in post-9/11 Baghdad. Now collected in its entirety for the first time ever, best-selling author Tom King unfurls one of the great graphic novels of the 21st century in the critically acclaimed SHERIFF OF BABYLON- THE DELUXE EDITION. The War on Terror still rages in Baghdad as cop-turned-military consultant Chris Henry must solve a deadly murder. He is forced to align himself with Nassir, the last policeman in Baghdad to try to unravel the bloody mystery. While Henry and Nassir search for answers, there are forces in the shadows pulling strings that these men don't even know they're tied to. With a wonderfully brutal script by King (MISTER MIRACLE, THE OMEGA MEN) and devastatingly beautiful art by Mitch Gerads (BATMAN), this wartime crime drama takes you deep into the underworld of the city of Baghdad in one of the most tumultuous times in modern history. This era-defining graphic novel is now in hardcover, featuring sketches and behind-the-scenes materials from the creators. Collects THE SHERIFF OF BABYLON #1-12.
