At first glance The Secret seems like it would be an epic novel, maybe of a secret organization? Maybe of the Illuminati? Maybe of a devious plot concerning the Free Masons and the fate of the entire Vatican City and the very Pope himself?! Unfortunately this isn't a novel but something much more and the way you look at it could either see you throwing it away in disgust or it changing your life… forever.
The Secret is a book comprised of many different author's opinions (facts?) on why so many of us struggle through life and also include life enhancing words to enhance our… life. They talk of our thoughts having the power to create physical things and attract what we want into our life.
With such claims as these I was truly intrigued by The Secret and read on with an unmistakable obsession to take in as much as this book could offer me. It told me thoughts attracted more thoughts of the same kind therefore one with depression was most likely to keep following that trend unless happier thoughts entered their mind.
I enjoyed the way the book was laid out, without long tedious explanations just short statements that went straight to the point. I think the book was slightly shorter than I'd want it to be the ways of methods of keeping good thoughts but it was a good way to introduce many people to other longer more in depth books and in a way it is in my view a gateway dru… book.
The Secret was truly life changing for me anyway as I had just been through a rough patch in my life and I welcomed it's methods of keeping me sane. It isn't as eye opening as you'd expect it to be but it still opened my eyes wide enough for me to see why my life had gone downhill and so The Secret fixed that for me which is good enough for me to recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
