Description

Modern medicine has separated human beings from nature. The author, a homoeopathic practitioner, contends that it is this inability to recognize wholeness that has caused medicine to reach a dead end. Parallel to the development of consciousness to its modern scientific objectivity, Twentyman discovers a changing pattern of health and disease in society. The prevalence of diseases like cancer and Parkinson's and new diseases like AIDS appears as part of this history. He regards the understanding of wholeness leads to the rediscovery of healing in its deeper sense to be a true art.

Author Biography:

Until his retirement Ralph Twentyman, MB, BCh, FFHom, was consultant physician at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital. He died in 2010.
