Author Biography

Elaine Benbow has had extensive experience of teaching the arts and in particular art and design. She is a lecturer in primary arts education at Manchester Metropolitan University and STAR Project Manager. The STAR Project runs courses, provides consultancy and in class support for teachers to develop teaching and learning in the arts, creativity and curriculum development. Elaine has taught in 6 primary schools and has worked as an advisory teacher for art and design. She runs a weekly after-school art club for primary school children, is an advanced skills teacher and has worked as an OfSTED inspector.
