Description

Rainbow promotes personal and social development in all age groups. The game facilitates the raising of self-awareness while developing communication skills between players. These skills are readily transferable to every day life encounters. With three levels available - the third being the most challenging, Rainbow facilitates interaction, verbal expression and respectful discussion between players. Each level has seven mini-games within it. Every mini-game is colour-coded to relate to a different quality for personal and social development. Red for Action Orange for Courage Yellow for Imagination Green for Feeling Blue for Talk Pink for Stimulus Purple for Insight Playing with all colours develops the full spectrum of self-awareness and social skills. The game will: Expand social skills Propagate positive interaction boost confidence deal with decision-making promote problem-solving skills encourage consideration of personal values let even the shyest person's voice be heard help each individual get along with others increase self-awareness

Author Biography

Betty Rudd, listed in 'Who's Who in the World' for her outstanding achievements in the fields of her endeavour and who has thereby significantly contributed to the betterment of contemporary society', initially trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Later she qualified as a Teacher before gaining a PhD from City University for her international research on non-verbal communication between the sexes. She has had a variety of positions on different Boards of the British Psychological Society. Formerly Senior Lecturer at UEL, she is now Co-ordinator of Training for candidates on the Independent Route to being Chartered Counselling Psychologists, and runs an independent practice in Cyprus and UK. The BPS list her as a specialist in emotional literacy and body-language so she is sought after on these issues, by the media. She has been (and continues to be) active in child-related issues since 1967. Dr. Betty Rudd, Co-Director of Hygiea Health Limited, is a member of the Health Professions Council, specialist teacher, parent of four and grandmother. Betty was in the original team which brought Circle Time from the USA to the UK and contributed to the government endorsed document, Every Child Matters.
