Description

This plant-by-plant guide to pruning features every plant in your garden. This invaluable guide features 100 of the most popular trees and shrubs, with simple instructions that are easy to follow whether you're an expert or a novice. This book tells you everything you need to know about pruning: why you need to prune, when to do it and what tools are required. Step-by-step illustrations and clear instructions demonstrate the correct pruning technique for each plant. Unlike every other book on the subject, The Pruner's Bible illustrates each plant individually, ending the frustration - common to beginners and more experienced gardeners alike - of searching to adapt a technique that applies to other plants. As well as the more common shrubs, climbers, roses, trees and soft fruit, this invaluable guide contains sections on pruning hedges and topiary. Extensive charts and checklists give at-a-glance summaries of information plus a list of 'no-prune' trees and shrubs. The Pruner's Bible is so simple to follow that it will inspire confidence in even the most novice gardener.
