Author Biography:

Hazel Bennett has enjoyed her working life as a teacher, mostly in primary schools, with some time in secondary and special schools. She has also taught abroad as a volunteer in a charitable school in Cambodia. She has been a class teacher in every year in the primary school and a support teacher in every year from Nursery to Year 8, as well as being a supply and peripatetic teacher. Hazel has combined her teaching with post-graduate study, childrearing and writing. She has appeared on the Teachers TV Channel in the series, They didn't teach me that, and written features for educational publications. She has also had short stories and travel pieces published and won prizes in writing competitions.
