I attended Dr. Simm's lecture tonight, it was most instructive and entertaining. After the lecture, went to the Masonic banquet. Met Sadie Pelham whom I had known before. Had a very pleasant time. Danced a few quac rilles. Was introduced to many of the leading families here. Have made arrangements to lecture on Sunday evening. Saturday. Many nice people called today.
