A large portion of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1882, was made applicable to County Councils by the Local Govern ment Act, 1888. Notes have now been inserted throughout the book explaining the application to County Councils of these incorporated provisions, with the modifications introduced by the Act of 1888 and by subsequent enactments. The provisions of the Local Government Act, 1888, relating to the constitution and election of County Councils have also been included, together with the County Electors Act, 1888, and the County Councils Elections Acts, 1891 and 1900, which have been fully noted. We h0pe that this innovation, which has involved a large amount of additional labour as well as extra Space, will materially increase the usefulness of the book to practitioners and to the members and officers of County Councils.
