A Fantastic short film that I use with junior students to explore the idea of growing up and losing something ( whether it be your mind or your imagination). Students love the challenge and it brings some great ideas to their final products for their devising assessment. 5/5

Description

While out collecting bottle tops at the beach, a boy discovers an enormous, bizarre and lonely creature that nobody else appears to notice. Feeling a sorry for it, he decides to find a home for this new friend, even as others warn that ‘some things don't belong anywhere’. But is this really true? Can a thing be just plain lost?

A modern day parable for all ages, adapted from the internationally acclaimed picture book by Shaun Tan, The Lost Thing is an award winning film that invites multiple interpretations and repeated viewing.
