Years of rebellion led Don to work in the pornography industry. The fast-paced life of Southern California, along with addictions to alcohol, drugs and porn had him bound. Then, on September 29, 1990, Don had a supernatural encounter with the Almighty God who was not intimidated by his sin. Don had found the Jesus of his salvation. As Don began to experience the reality of the God who saved him, he took his first missions trip to Russia. Immediately he was hooked. It was clear that God was calling him into the mission field. Several countries later, he was led to Haiti--a nation consumed by demonic witchcraft and Voodoo. Yet, the Lord revealed Himself to Don and miracles broke out. God used his background to set the captives free. Soon after that, Haiti became home for the Adamsons. Don quickly found that the same Jesus that saved him was also the Jesus of his calling. The challenges of working in third world missions and the demonic attacks on his family and life made it clear to Don living out his salvation and calling came with a price. Walking through fiery furnaces is something every Christian must face. It was in those dark experiences Don discovered that God not only never leaves us, but He walks in the fire with us.
