Have watched both of these prior to buy'n them, absolutely Awesome crime with funny aspects as well !! ******
I love the original Italian Job – it's one of those films everyone should see. The remake was Ok if you haven't seen the original, but very poor by comparison. Bought it for the original anyway so wasn't upset.
The Italian Jobs Double-Cross Collection contains both the original 1969 classic movie and the hit movie remake!
The Italian Job (1969)
Forget about the straight and narrow. Clever con Charlie Croker (Michael Caine)
intends to go straight to the bank. Fresh from the slammer, he begins work on a
heist that will either set him up for life- or send him up forever. Croker and
his unruly lot of thieves take on the mob, the police and the gridlocked traffic
of Turin to rob a heavily armed shipment of gold bullion in The Italian Job.
Entertainment legend Noel Coward (in his last film role) costars in this
open-throttle caper as criminal mastermind Bridger. And Benny Hill, Raf Vallone
and Rosano Brazzi add to the story’s fun and suspense as it zips from plan to
robbery to escape to an ending that’s a cliffhanger in every sense of the
word! Hold on tight!
The Italian Job (2003)
The plan was flawless. The execution was perfect. Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg)
pulled off the crime of a lifetime. The one thing that he didn’t plan on was
being double-crossed (by Edward Norton). Now he wants more than the
job’s payoff… he wants payback. Along with a beautiful safecracker
(Charlize Theron), Croker and his team take off to re-steal the loot and end up
in a pulse-pounding, pedal-to-the-metal chase that careens up, down, above and
below the streets of Los Angeles. This time it's personal!
