Description

Presenting a basic course in the management of human resources, this book draws on the Asian traditions of leadership and strategy. It includes excerpts from Confucius, Lao Tzu, Sun Tzu, and the I Ching, and shows how leaders in business and politics can learn from these ancient philosophical traditions. A translation of a less well-known text, "The Thirty-Six Strategies", which summarises the key techniques of the Asian "art of advantage", is also included along with introductions to Taoism, Confucianism, and "The Art of War".

Author Biography:

He is the translator of over fifty volumes of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian, and Islamic texts from Sanskrit, Chinese, Japanese, Pali, and Arabic.
