Having purchased other Weta branded jewellery before, I was quite confident that I would love this pendant, unfortunately this is not the case.

The acorn itself is very, very small, making it difficult to see any detail on the bail, a design feature I loved on this particular pendant, and the bail is very flimsy considering the overall weight of the acorn. The chain supplied rates barely above a trace chain and closes with a bolt ring clasp, when surely a lobster claw or parrot clasp would have offered a better look and security- The chain is far too fine for the weight of the pendant, and looks far too thin for the relative size of the pendant in comparison. I would be terrified to wear this piece of jewellery because of the chain…The images supplied by Weta are very misleading in this case. There also needs to be pendant dimensions listed in the description so the customer can make a more informed decision before purchase.

I was so looking forward to receiving this pendant and necklace by Weta, and should be grateful it was not purchased as a gift – which I believe it is vastly unsuited for – leaving the disappointment all my own…
