This movie is great funny and entertaining.

Engrossing, funny and quirky. Not the full story though. Doesn't include Miliways – The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Doesn't suffer from the early ending though. Very good.

Having owned this on DVD I was fully expecting the discs menu to be similar or maybe better than the DVD one, you can imagine my surprise when I put the disc on to be greeted with a frame capture of Marvin with some text on it saying the move would auto play and that there is no menus.

Also the Packaging has the DTS-HD Master Audio logo on it, there is no DTS-HD track on this disk, there is a Standard DTS and Standard DD and a Liniar PCM (So its not really an issue, but it is misleading)

Video quality was fantastic, audio quailty was good but it was really let down by the sloppy package (DTS-HD logo, Lack of menus, Incorrect aspect ratio on the case)

Video 9/10 Audio 8/10 (Marking it down due to the misleading logo) Extras 0/10

Being a huge fan of the books and the original tv and radio series i was looking forward to the big screen adaptation. Unfortunately I was majorly disappointed, the script was awful the acting was wooden and all the jokes were dumbed down for the American market. So if you are interested in the story get the original tv series on dvd, it may not have the big budget special effects but it is awesome.
