Have been searching for this for a few years my dad loves this show and I wanted to treat him with something special. Thanx for making that possible. Its a brilliant series.

This is the most fabulous science fiction comedy ever produced by the BBC! If you like science fiction or even if you don´t then you will love the Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy. Based on the book and subsequent radio play by author Douglas Adams this is the most enthralling sci fi comedy you will see :)

It was good as a radio show, good as a TV serial, but it's even better in your own home, in your own time, on your own equipment. Great series. For my $ easily beats the movie remake… Although, for a quick fix. ;0)

A satirical look at the human condition from the point of view that the whole thing is meaningless anyway. Solid if understated performances using a tight laugh a minute script.

Paddy Kingsland of Doctor Who fame does the incidental music, which reminds me of a Doctor Who episode of the 80's and a hilarious adaption of the book and BBC radio serial, especially hilarious are the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy voice overs read superbly by Peter Jones

I did not know how well this series would age but it stands up very well. It could be a bit of nostalgia on my part but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again.

Even better still there are extras to watch on the making. Douglas Adams created a masterpiece and this production brings it to life. Its way way better than the more recent movie!

I had forgotten how clever this was. Brilliant Ford Prefect (where is he now-) and other quirky characters from brilliant writer and ideas man. Very enjoyable…life, the universe and everything.

The cult following agrees – Yes the BBC original has an edge over the movie. Well worth the click it took to purchase it.

Only watched first couple of episodes, purchased on historical sentimentality, like original Dr Who's you have to put yourself back to that earlier time as so many things have changed since then. That said, still enjoying immensely and better than the remake.

Incredibly funny. Worth watching several times to get a number of sublte jokes. Highly recommended. Great extras as well.

Douglas Adams would have been proud to see this adaptation from book to BBC small screen. British humour has a subtlety all it's own. He'd turn in his grave with the American big screen version. Buy this 2-disc set…It's great :-)
