The Great NZ Cookbook reviews

I really (really!) wanted this cookbook, as I love all things NZ. No other book stores would send to the USA. =( So glad I found Mighty Ape (Love your name!) And you got it to me in less than a week. Woohoo!

I just received this a few days ago and have thumbed through, but not made anything yet, but lots of pages have flags on them. Going to have to Google some of the measurement conversions. And I know I will also have to be doing some substitutions (I never see rabbit in our stores), but … It is a gloriously illustrated and photographed cookbook. It has an amazing number of recipes that I want to try. Eclectic and unique and just wonderful. I collect cookbooks, but this one won't be just sitting on the shelf, looking pretty. I'm sure, with time, it will be well-used and splattered. Kiwis sure must eat well!

I spent months trying to figure out how to get this book. Five stars for Mighty Ape service and five stars for the book. That makes 10 stars, right- =)

This is a stunning NZ cookbook. Were you to purchase only one, this would have to be the one. So essentially Kiwi. The recipes are familiar to us and they are all within the home-cook capability. The cooks featured could so easily be us. There is a welcome familiarity and comfort about the book. Buy it!!!

I love this book! There's something for everybody at every level of skill. So much variety of recipes too. This is one of the best if not THE best cook book I have ever brought.

Perfect gift more people that like to cook

I love how Mighty Ape had my copy on my doorstep in a blink of an eye and I love The Great NZ Cookbook. We started using it the day after it arrived. So many delicious and easy to prepare recipes.

I bought this book as a wedding present for my cousin in Canada. As the gift had to be something unbreakable, packed in a carry on bag on the plane it was perfect. The recipes look fantastic, the photographs, neat maps and brief info of the people behind each recipe was just what I wanted…a little something kiwi to give my Canadian cousin.

Another book of tantalising recipes I WILL get round to cooking one of these days … :P

Love this cookbook – was jealous of my friends copy so had to get my own! Lots of fantastic things to cook & bake – even for us vegetarians!!

I love good cookbooks. This is a great cookbook. I especially like the personal style shown in each recipe from each cook with the photos and ‘handwritten’ section from each. And it reminds us so very much of home :)

Tried the lamp chop great reminded me of the time I was studying in NZ . Trying to find a recipe from Plamerston North. Any recommendations
