I purchased this game a few months ago, not expecting much, but it turned out to be thoroughly enjoyable. The premise is simple; bascily a GTA clone with the ‘Godfather’ style slapped on.
Many reviewers have said that this game's Wii-specific controls don't really add much to the gameplay, but I, personally have found the experience a lot grittier using the Wii-mote to carry out the game's various execution styles, or even just the standard hand-to-hand combat.
The driving controls don't really make much use of the Wii's motion sensitivity, but it doesn't matter too much as it just sticks to the tested and true thumbstick steering.
Also, like the versions released on the other consoles you have a good amount of customisability with your character, using the ‘Mobface’ feature, which functions like the ‘Create-a-Sim’ feature of the original ‘The Sims’ game, but gives far more options (I.e. Scars, nose size etc…).
My only true gripe with this game is the graphics, which are a direct port of the PS2's. I mean, everyone knows that the Wii is in no way graphicly focussed, but the developers should have at least used the graphics from the Xbox version. Although this isn't too bad, as it looks pretty decent.
