Description

This is not a paint by numbers, "how to" guide to self-awareness. Nor is it another rehashed, pleasant memoir detailing a smooth "spiritual awakening." If anything, it's more of a "what not to do" guide -- a personal story with quite a few corkscrew twists and an unexpected outcome. The outcome is one that isn't as much "spiritual awakening" as "divinely inspired upheaval." More than that, though, it is a tale offered to encourage others. Listen, when the voice of awakening arises in you. Regardless of the journey it takes you on, it's well worth what you'll discover. Moving from the consensus reality created by materialism and societal expectations, Jeffrey Brunk slowly stepped away from the so-called "normal" life created by work, church, and simple family connections and ventured into a luminous realm, where essences of divinity offered wisdom and guidance while allowing powerful energies to surface and healing abilities to manifest. In seeing the unseen, hearing what others do not hear, and listening to the whispers that others ignore, Jeffrey is one who instinctively connects with the natural and universal energies that empower and heal. Ultimately, Jeffrey heeded the call to provide assistance and betterment to others and the planet. Though not always the case, when Jeffrey surrendered ego and accepted his purpose, shamanism and pronounced, intense energy healing - Reiki - flowed effortlessly and naturally. Yet, he is no different than anyone going about everyday life: getting the oil changed in the car, sitting at a child's sporting or musical event or picking up dog food and toilet paper at the grocery store. Still, his story is anything but "everyday." It is a Tour de Force ride that will most certainly change your perspective on the world, and quite possibly your life.

Author Biography:

Jeffrey Brunk is an author, artist, Lightworker and shamanic practitioner. Currently living in Northern Virginia with his wife, Pamela and two dogs, Shizzle and Shu Shu, Jeff has a Lightwork studio - Universal Touch Healing Energy - a healing sanctuary where all are welcome. He has a strong conviction that no one should be denied assistance due to financial or time constraints. What I offer isn't about making money, it's about helping others, he says. After several years of study and literal hands-on experience aiding people, animals, and fauna through energy healing, Jeff received the Usui Reiki Master certification (though he eschews titles) through the Reiki Sanctuary of Northern Virginia. Jeff also teaches Usui Reiki and is trained in Mindfulness Meditation techniques. In addition, Jeff is an ordained non-denominational minister. Jeff graduated from Randolph Technical College with a degree in Graphic Communications in 1985, yet his background is vast and varied. Years prior to finding his path, Jeff was a veritable jack of all trades. When I'd gone as far as I could go or became bored with what I was doing, something new and completely different would come to me. Life is too short to spend countless days and years doing something that isn't feeding your mind, heart or soul. Jeff has attained a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification, been a Series 6,7 and 63 licensed stockbroker for a leading brokerage firm, an art and production director for several well-known international NASCAR and baseball publications, a freelance artist, a National Sales Manager for an international blast and IED protection firm, an Eastern Regional Manager for a Japanese electronic components manufacturer, a bartender, bar manager, wine sales representative, lead paper buyer for Hearst Publishing and, lest we forget, dog walker and owner of a pet service. In other words, his resume is a pamphlet. Jeff was born in Iowa and raised in Winston-Salem, then Lexington, North Carolina. Jeff's two children from his previous marriage are now grown. His daughter is happily married, and his son is a police officer for a major metropolitan police department. After being together four years, Jeff and Pamela wed August 29, 2011, on a beach in Key West, Florida.
