Description

When Dorothy asks Ugu the Shoemaker to make a pair of Emerald Slippers for Princess Ozma's birthday, more than a couple of witches and wizards take note and do their best to steal them for their own Evil means. Can Pacifico, the bare-foot cobbler's apprentice save the day in time for Her Majesty's grand birthday celebration? And will the Queen of the Field Mice come to the rescue? Only Dorothy knows for sure.

Author Biography:

James C. Wallace II, originally a native of West Virginia, currently lives in Terre Haute, Indiana with his wife Amanda, a life-long Hoosier. They have been married more than 30 years, with a herd of 5 children and 14 grandchildren. James's background covers over 28 years in children's education, including experience working for the world's largest children's museum; The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, where he was the Planetarium Educator for SpaceQuest Planetarium. This is Amanda's first venture into the Land of Oz after many years in a successful career as a housewife. James now serves as the Royal Liaison of Oz; while Amanda now serves as the Royal Liaison to Princess Ozma, Sovereign Ruler of Oz and both currently endeavor to fulfill Her royal command to tell the tales of adventure in the Land of Oz to the children of the Great Outside.
