The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition reviews

One of the best games I've ever played fully explorable map, Mould n shape your character to your own image be an honest knight and slay vampires trolls etc. or a stealthy thief graphics may not be the best but still pretty good even better the whole game is on a 24 hr clock non player, carry out normal every day tasks eat sleep etc. I would recommend this to any one who likes twisting story's adventure and a fun time playing a player paced game

The Elder scrolls has been a gaming phenomenon since Morrowind. The expansions to Morrowind (Bloodmoon and Tribunal) added another dimension to the world, with new quests, weapons, monsters and a entire section of map to explore. Its the same thing with Oblivion. Adding more content to an already great game, makes it a fantastic game. Oblivion really takes advantage of the next-gen consoles, having played this on both PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the differences really seem to show. On all platforms the graphics were impressive, textures were detailed, shadows were rendered in real-time, character models were hugely detailed (although they should fire the guy who designed the faces) and the water effects were stunning. Though having to render everything at once kind of made my 360 struggle somewhat. Story was well developed and all of the major characters seemed to have their own identities and personalities. They even got some big actors to do the voices. One example is the Emperor's son who is voiced by Sean Bean (the guy who played Boromir in Lord Of The Rings).

The story of the main quest can only be described in one word “Epic”. The many races of Cyrodiil under threat by apocalyptic demons coming from Oblivion (essentially hell) to kill everyone, kinda screams awesome doesn't it? With the expansions the extra quests make it a bigger game. though the original was daunting enough. My big gripe about this game and its expansions is that even though we have both expansion packs. There is still stuff we miss out on because Microsoft and Bethesda are still trying to get money out of us. Added content costs to download all the while, the people playing on computer who buy the Game Of The Year edition get everything and don't have to pay any extra! Bit of a ripoff if you ask me, but still. Another thing is that sometimes you feel like your doing the same thing over and over. Go somewhere kill this guy, or steal this, or get this and bring it back to me, it can get to be a little bit repetitive. However, overall this is a great game which shall follow its predecessor into online modding sites and forums to which it shall be ripped up, torn apart, then put back together in the way they think it should be. 4 stars from me.

Definitely an epic game.. Always liked the Elder Scrolls games and Oblivion exceeds far beyond Morrowind ever could.

Still has some funny tweaks here and there, but otherwise is a very fun game if you liked the previous games. Very hard to play in 3rd person view, though.

I hate all you people that only gave oblivion 4 and a half stars. None of u must know what a gud game is. Why dont you all go home and play dora the explorer

Quality product, Quality service!

Even though the game is half a decade old, it still has immense replay value. Thought it'd be good for a few days, but it has proven great value for money.

This purchase definately makes me want to use MightyApe again! Once payment was made I received the game within 24 hours! Absolutely Awesome!

This game in my opinion is the top of the mark game with action, adventure and fantasy. It really does blow all other games away, not only is it awesome but there is so much to do in one single game. Amazing, really is.
