The second in the Dragon Brothers Trilogy of children's books, the story follows brothers Flynn and Paddy as they inadvertently end up with a pet dragon.
Here the boys discover by accident a map, on which all the familiar landmarks appear to have another, secret, name. Fascinated by ‘The Dragon Hatchery’, they pack up and set off to discover it for themselves. When Paddy sits down on an odd-shaped rock and does a tiny fart, things get a little bit crazy…
Author Biography
James Russell is a first-time children's book author. He figures if he's going
to write one, he may as well write three. His day job is that of editor of the
New Zealand Herald's Element – a sustainable business and lifestyle
magazine. He has 12 years in the newspaper business, both as an editor and a
journalist/columnist. On the weekends – and by night – he is a father to
two young boys whose insatiable demand for a new story both morning and night is
the inspiration behind The Dragon Brothers Trilogy. Link Choi is an
Auckland-based illustrator and artist. He has illustrated two children's books,
‘Unsuitable Weather’, and ‘Gold in the Hills’, both published by
Macmillan Education. His work also appears in the collection of the Wallace Arts
Foundation. Most recently he has been working at Weta Studios in Wellington,
helping bring to life ‘The Hobbit’.
