On 2 June 2012 Her Majesty the Queen will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. To
mark the 60 years since she came to the throne in February 1952, a remarkable
river pageant and a Service of Thanksgiving was staged in London. These
highlights capture the unique spectacle
and pageantry of these landmark events on a momentous day. Includes The Diamond
Jubilee River Pageant where over a million people lined the banks of the Thames,
as decorated craft of all descriptions brought the river to life in a joyous and
colourful display accompanied by chiming bells, spectacular fireworks and a
naval gun salute.
Also includes highlights from the service of thanksgiving at St
Paul’s Cathedral as well as the
magnificent pomp and pageantry of the royal carriages’ return journey, the
appearance of the
Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony and the RAF flypast.
