Immanuel Wallerstein is Senior Research Scholar at Yale University and Director of the Fernand Braudel Center at Binghamton University. He is the author of 'The Modern World-System'. After 'Liberalism', 'Utopistics' and most recently, 'The End of the World As We Know It'. He lives in the United States
