What follows is a strange journey through the mind of a malfunctioning AI's psyche to discover what the countdown means. What he finds is that the fate of the world may very well rest in the hands of a chronic underachiever.

Author Biography

Carl began his writing career with short film scripts. His works won film festival awards for writing and for the film versions he directed. Since then he has explored numerous forms of storytelling, including "The Countdown," his debut novel. So far he has not found a form of storytelling he does not enjoy and spends most of his time studying and practicing this art form. His upcoming projects include a screenplay, a comic and a sequel to "The Countdown." He doesn't sleep much and is a long standing resident of Orange County, California.
