"Interesting"
3 stars"

My class and I read this book in our year 10 English class.Initially I thought the book would be a waste of time. But to my surprise I really enjoyed the read. It has a lot of depth and the changing between the myth world and the real world is very well done. The biggest problem for me was the length,at some points along the way it felt like they were just killing time by explaining useless facts. The main characters Mat,Wiri and Kelly are well written and interesting overall the book is interesting and exciting.I look forward to reading the next installments in this series.

"A boy named Mat who goes on an adventure throughout New Zealand"

I read the Bone Tiki in my English class this year and I didn't expect much from the book but it was an entertaining book with some good ideas,it took a while to get into it but a didn't become a very interesting book.My favourite parts in the book would have to be when they would took about the different places they were at or were going and were actual places in New Zealand, and the idea of normal New Zealand and the side with all the dead important people. What I learned from reading the book would have to be how big New Zealand really is.

"Exciting & interesting journey"
5 stars"

This is a very well written young adult novel that entertains the reader with action & suspense. The pace makes it difficult to put down as the reader is eager to find out what happens.

Proudly New Zealand – a must-read
