The Bard's Tale previews

This is a simple fun game with heaps of humour.

To be honest I was disappointed with this game. True it is very non-linear, which makes it perfect in terms of replayability and yes the dialogue is sometimes funny, but really tends towards lame obvious to the fact that this game is playable by younger members of the public. Also the graphics and cinematics are terrible! You can actually see pixels again, which surprised me since this is an Ubisoft game and its fairly new (its not a just release, but comparing its graphics to other games of its time…). Also the combat system is very difficult for people used to games like CSS, since right click is attack and pick up and left click is move. The game really is not what it could have been. With better graphics, easier integrated controls and a rating of maybe 16+ it would stand in a genre of its own.
