Description

Excerpt from The Argonaut, Vol. 77: July 1 to December 31, 1915 While attention has been particularly directed toward the fighting in Galicia it is to be remembered that large bodies of Teutons and Russians are engaged along the whole line from Windau on the Baltic Sea in the far north. There are already large opposing armies in the neighborhood of Warsaw, Ivan gorod, and Lublin. The Germans have occupied Windau and also Libau, and they are moving eastward from these places with the intention of cutting the Russian communications. Although the Galician campaign occupies the centre of the stage for the moment it is well to remember that there is con stant fighting along the whole line of the Russian frontier, a distance of nearly eight hundred miles. This accounts for the comparatively small number of men that are engaged at any one point. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
