Description

Benjamin Frank is in need of adventure. He finds going to school with the same strange kids every day difficult. And home life isn't much better. He knows there's a whole world outside waiting for him, and the best of it seems to be on his doorstep. Tired of looking at it from his window, he decides to find a way to get outside. Once out, Benjamin quickly meets some interesting characters and when the weather takes a turn for the worst, he is too late to escape and return home. Just before disaster catches him, someone comes to save the day. But he finds himself sucked into a whole new world that is more challenging and unexpected than he could ever imagine. The adventure takes him on a journey of discovery that he'll never forget.

Author Biography:

Marie Skilling has been on adventures miles away from home and on her doorstep. She grew up in South West London and has lived in Australia and Canada. She has visited Africa and abseiled off Table Mountain just like Miss Timbles does in The Adventures of Benjamin Frank. She loves skiing, hiking in the forest, and has visited over twenty countries. Marie's travels influence her writing because all her trips have helped her see things in new ways and feed her imagination. It was during one snowy trip to Vancouver, Canada to visit her parents that Benjamin Frank began. She went for a walk one breezy afternoon and nothing was as it seemed. It was exactly the ingredients she needed to inspire her to write the tale that she hopes you'll enjoy.
