He received his B.A in psychology; M.A. in Christian Counseling at Denver Seminary; M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. He is also a graduate from Institute for Life Coach Training. Dr. Lam is a multilingual professional who is fluent in English, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
