Tekken 7 ticks most boxes for fans and is great for those new to the series
as it sums up the war between the Mishima legacy well. It's refreshing to see
some new blood in the cast but there are a few staple characters missing from
the roster at launch. The music is superb and some of the best on the series,
apart from the music in the customisation screens. Many reviews boast of an
extensive list of customisation options, apparently more than previous titles.
This is not the case. While there are a lot of different options, they are far
less diverse than what has been offered in previous installments. There aren't
many display options or sound options available, which I found quite odd and
I noticed that some of the models faces looked blurry and dated on certain
stages. This does not detract from the experience that is Tekken. The story mode
is decent enough and the cimematics are integrated well into gameplay. The
character stories are a bit cheesy but somewhat expected from some of the cast.
I'm not sold on the new rage art system and would have liked this to be a
feature that could be turned on or off depending on your preference. All that
aside, you should stop reading and order it!
