Author Biography:

Artist Jamie Hewlett and writer Alan C. Martin created Tank Girl in 1988 for British music and comics magazine Deadline, generating a vibrant body of work that became a series of top-selling graphic novels. Hewlett went on to mastermind--with Blur's Damon Albarn--the multimillion selling virtual pop group Gorillaz, before teaming up with Albarn again to create a musical stage version of Monkey. Hewlett was named Designer of the Year in 2006, while Martin has returned to Tank Girl with a series of comic books and his debut prose novel.
