In 2001, a staged concert version of the piece was mounted in New York City with a star-studded cast of Broadway's finest and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
In July of 2001, the concert edition of SWEENEY was presented at San Francisco's famed Davies Symphony Hall, again with Patti Lupone and George Hearn starring. The world-class San Francisco Symphony, under the direction of Rob Fisher, provided the accompaniment for this powerful, sold-out concert.
