Married for over 25 years, Charles never dreamed he would be writing and speaking about the loss of his spouse. For over 40 years, as a professional photographer, Charles never expected to be a surviving spouse. His plan was to spend a lifetime with his college sweetheart and suddenly found himself totally unprepared for her loss. He lost of his wife to cancer one month after their 25th wedding anniversary. He has journeyed through grief, struggled with the unknowns of widowhood and has learned how to continue his life with purpose. For the survivor, his words of encouragement will help you make informed decisions to take successful steps daily, as you rebuild your life. Charles speaks to churches, networking and social clubs and Universities. He helps widows, widowers and those who minister and care for the widowed. His companion workbook, The Surviving Spouse Club Workbook is an expanded book design to record vital information which many times went to the grave. This workbook will become an invaluable security blanket to the surviving spouse, your family and those you leave in charge of your wishes.

Author Biography

Charles Foster grew up on a farm in North Central Texas. He met his wife Cindy while attending North Texas State University where they married, raised two amazing children and were married for 25 years before her death in 1997. Charles never dreamed he would be writing and speaking about the loss of his spouse. For over 40 years, as a professional photographer his plan was to spend a lifetime with his college sweetheart, yet he found himself unprepared for her loss. He lost of his wife to cancer one month after their 25th wedding anniversary. He has journeyed through grief, struggled with the unknowns of widowhood and has learned how to continue his life with purpose.
