Stuart Sutcliffe met kindred spirit John Lennon at art college in 1959 and joined his band along with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. But in Hamburg in 1962, Stuart suffered a seizure and slipped into a coma, cutting short the life of a highly promising young artist. This compelling documentary reveals the mystique surrounding The Beatles’ original bassist, and includes interviews with Sutcliffe’s girlfriend Astrid Kirchherr, early Beatles manager Allan Williams, and Rod Murray, Sutcliffe and Lennon’s flatmate. Special fe atures include a gallery of Sutcliffe’s paintings.
