Author Biography:

Theodore V. Galambos emigrated to the United States from Hungary in 1948. He received his PhD from Lehigh University and taught at Lehigh, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Minnesota. His specialty is the engineering of steel bridges; he has written extensively on the subject and received many awards for his work.
