Author Biography:

Jonathan Horowitz, PhD, is a clinical psychologist with over 13 years of experience. He studied anxiety disorders at the University of Texas and focused on the psychology of medical illness while training at the University of California. He is now director of the San Francisco Stress and Anxiety Center, where he works with clients experiencing both short-term and long-term stress—his practice is primarily solution-focused and is founded on evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Dr. Diane McIntosh is a psychiatrist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia. She also has a busy private practice and presents continuing medical education programs nationally and internationally.
