Sets out in a highly visible and accessible way the history, culture, artistic heritage and national spirit of the Isle of Man. This book is a photographic journey through the Story of Mann, the first chapters of which were set out by Manx scholars and academics in the second half of the 19th century. It brings the eye of the camera to the places where the narrative is carried forward. They are places familiar -- like the Manx Museum itself -- and unfamiliar. It is also a record of work in progress. 'The Story of Mann' is a never-ending story.
