Shot in High Definition on location in Alaska, Wyoming, Canada, France and Iceland, Steep is a documentary of big mountain skiing when skiers began to attempt ski descents so extreme that they appear almost suicidal. At the centre of Steep is the late Doug Coombs, one of the best known extreme skiers. Steep also features many of the sport's greatest athletes including Bill Briggs, Stefano De Benedetti, Eric Pehota, Glen Plake, Shane McConkey, Seth Morrison, Chris Davenport, Ingrid Backstrom and Andrew McLean.
