Cons:
This headset was recommended to me at Twitchcon 2016 by a streamer, and my god they were right. These are easily the most comfortable, most easy to use, and awesome sounding headphones I've ever owned. Battery life is amazing compared to the experiences I've had with other brands (Razer, Logitech etc.) and the sound customisation options are great! Good microphone, although obviously would recommend a decent desktop mic for recording or streaming (AT2020 USB being my preference) but good for casual use like Skype, Discord or Teamspeak. Steelseries has never been one of my preffered brands in the past, but this headset is quickly changing my mind!
The headset costs a pretty penny, but performs accordingly. Setup is easy enough, and the sound quality is good. Headset is comfortable, but feels prone to slipping about on your head; mostly due to being wireless and so heavier than a regular headset.
Great product, loving it. Really comfortable. Especially enjoying being able to control my game volume and my chat volume independently. Recommended!
Great mic and good sound quality, bluetooth works great as well. Wish the battery life was a little longer though.
Battery stopped charging shortly after warrently expired, SteelSeries treated me like a convict rather than a customer (Terrible after sales service). Shame as I really like the comfort and sound quality, hence 2 stars.
Was a bit weary buying this after owning the Arctis 7 original varient since they came out. These feel much more comfortable and sturdy, are made of a better material and have a better look. Well worth buying again if you have the older model or are looking for a great wireless headset.
I am very pleased with my purchase. The headphones sound good and are very comfortable. Just don't expect them to be audiophile grade. If you want audiophile grade cans, you'll need to spend a lot more. For the cash though, these are perfectly suitable.
Did a fair bit of research prior to buying this and I do not regret it one bit! Very comfortable, even with glasses on, and very clear sound and the Mic is great too!
Volume is somehow not balanced between games bgm and voice. I use discord software while playing and adjusting between game-voice chat doesn't really help because the scroll rather function like volume button. 7.1 DTS surround is also confusing to tell when I am approached from behind or front.
The mic picks up every little thing.. The max volume on the headset is poor and the noise is hard to tell foot steps noises etc in FPS's But they look cool
So I've been using the arctis 7 headset for almost a year now, My personal overall experience with the headset is good , However the head strap wears out rather quickly I've adjusted it and ran out of the valcro bit for adjustment, So I have to fork out for a new head strap. Please not the headset gets sold as wireless for all platform BUT its not true wireless on the xbox you still have to plug it into the controller(that's a pain as the wire gets in the way) The battery life is good it lasts a solid 15 hours before charging is needed.
It didn't take awhile for the Arctis 7 to show how amazingly bad it is, while having its pros the Arctis 7 has a jarring issue, the audio. The audio quite frankly is bad, its basically like putting two tin cans on your ears. Its official software (SSE3) is so HORRID that you'll end up either using a 3rd party software like Equalizer APO or others, like Razer's as a workaround (yes its so awful, that using another headphone maker's software makes it sound better). If you don't mind its awful sound then the Arctis 7 will provide a wireless headset with good a battery life and a good mic.
The mic boom isn't long enough to reach in front of my mouth and so always cuts out when speaking on discord or other voice apps. Changing the sensitivity on discord makes the mic pick up my keyboard more than my voice, and nobody wants to hear your keyboard all day.
I strongly suggest finding another headset. The DTS audio sounds really terrible and has a very tinny sound to it. Sure you can hear where things are around you, but the quality of the audio suffers heavily
Works great on my ps4.
I needed to replace my old Logitech headset and bought this. The microphone was worse, it's way less comfortable. The sound quality is worse. Only redeeming things are it didn't completely die or disconnect from wireless
Best headset I have ever had
Price wise it feels a bit expensive, but the arctis 7 is a great purchase for anyone wanting a reliable wireless headphone. My main issue is the location of the volume slider because at times if i move my head in a certain way, it will move down the volume.
I bought these a few weeks ago to replace some Kingston Hyper Clouds. Out of the box the sound was slightly less impressive but this was quickly fixed with some playing around with the EQ in the SteelSeries software. The headset is very comfortable – more so than my old Kingston headset – and it sure is good to be wireless.
